On top of that the CTO has a product, not engineering background. It doesn't make a whole lot of sense.

The release of plugins was underwhelming for a lot of users, I wonder if they're worried about the same thing happening again. I had fun making a plugin when they were first announced but the developer experience was clunky and frustrating, and there was a lot of confusion around how the plugin store actually worked. As is, actions in custom GPTs are almost useless right now, since you need to approve each and every request. Hopefully they fix that.

I don't mean to be harsh, but is this journalism now? When you write an article and say something has been corroborated by your "sources", does that mean "forwarded to you by anonymous HN posters"? You don't have an IRL relationship with a source who has created a GPT? You can't throw a stone in the valley without hitting somebody who has.
