I always thought of salad fingers as like one of those weird flash videos but as a YouTube series. Anybody remember albinoblacksheep.com? I'm sure there were others too, maybe ebaumsworld but I'm not sure if those were as weird

Yes, very much :) that‘s also where I first saw Salad Fingers and The End of the World is still on my mind today.

Salad Fingers I'm pretty sure started as a Newgrounds.com series

This title seems to imply that youtube was normal before it was weird, though both reality, and tfa suggest that it was weird before it was normal.

Youtube is just the pipe.
