Dunno where I heard it first, but a good insight about any sort of one-to-many communication is that you're going to get a spectrum of responses. Tell the world's most hilarious joke and 70% of the audience will be rolling on the floor, a decent chunk just won't get it, and a minority will send you death threats.

It's very easy and a devastating mistake to the last group dictate what you create.

Did the King and Williams summery/letter get published anywhere? I'd like to read it.

It has not been, as far as I'm aware. But King has prepared a proper reply for publication, which I expect will end up being published - if not in H&T then in some other journal.
