That said, this is a perfect opportunity to talk about the ethics of training manipulative AI models to extract money from desperate, lonely customers... Err, I mean offering AI girlfriend services.

true. i guess its similar to comparing skin mags from the 60's-90's, to the engagement algorithms and UI designs used by pr0n sites after 2020.
theres going to be a "survival of the fittest" shift - folks that are able to avoid these new-age adult relations exploitation practices will have a higher chance of reproducing.

#18This is why I self host my girlfriend, instead of subscribing in a GaaS model. If you can't touch the server rack and feel the heat, all you're doing is talking to somebody else's AI girlfriend.
