For the past three years, I’ve been working at deepchannel.com as the second full-time Software Engineer. We built the VSCode for data engineers working on dbt projects. I've done a bit of everything there – from conducting technical interviews and getting an internal ETL tool and backend HTTP API off the ground to kicking off some of the core intelligence features in the IDE and seeing them through to production.

Outside of that, I’m a hacker and TypeScript and functional programming wizard. I’ve made extensive Open source contributions in PureScript and JavaScript, and even gotten shoutouts in deep functional programming papers. I have been giving talks, organizing meetups and hackathons in my home city of Tbilisi.

I have about 10 years of software engineering under my belt, including 6 years working remotely for U.S. startups. I’m looking for a small-to-medium size team. Ideally we would start remotely, but I would be open to moving to New York or San Francisco. I’m at my best working with people who are optimistic and driven, where everyone’s all about teamwork and helping each other grow.

I am a Software/Machine Learning Engineer with extensive experience in overseeing and executing large-scale ML projects, such as a Q-commerce recommendation system that delivered a statistically significant increase in GMV/ARPU. My expertise lies in developing and deploying statistical/ML/DL models using both C++ and Python. Additionally, I possess strong project management skills in the ML domain and offer analytical expertise. While I have some background as a backend engineer, I am specifically seeking roles that involve ML and not solely software engineering. I am enthusiastic about the possibility of relocating to the UK, US, or Spain, but I am also open to remote work opportunities.

I'm a 10+ year industry experienced computer wrangler, something like 25+ year programming experience, with degrees. Lots of generalist experience, but mostly in the sphere of "cloud services running on Linux". Which, you know, is a lot of the web!

If you have an ambiguous problem and you need it solved in Linux on the cloud, call me up. I can design, build, deploy, operate; the whole kit and caboodle. Front end and mobile aren't my specialty, but I can work that through (see - ambiguity management). And I did my Master's in embedded systems.

I'd like full time work.

But, I'd take short term consulting work, e.g., advising for starting up cloud work, doing digital transformation, setting up your infra as a contract.

Happy to get on a 15m call to talk! - I have a Google scheduling widget set up here at this link - https://calendar.google.com/calendar/u/0/appointments/schedu...

(And if it is relevant, I'm a US citizen)
