SEEKING WORK | The Netherlands | Remote (anywhere)

I have more than 6 years of experience with Django and worked with many tools/technologies/libraries related to it (Vue/Vuex, pytest, various CI/CD tools, docker, htmx, websockets etc).

I maintain a few applications for clients (as the sole developer), but can also work well within a team. I am located in Europe, but I can also work within US timezones.

SEEKING WORK | Remote/Denver, CO [MT/UTC-6] | Fullstack Dev, Tech Consulting, Team Enhancement

Greetings! I'm Dylan Fitzgerald, a software engineering consultant with a knack for bridging the gap between technology and team dynamics. With a robust technical background in Ruby on Rails, Elixir, and DevOps, I excel in elevating the quality and efficiency of projects while fostering a harmonious team environment. My years of consulting across the industry give me perspective on what works—and doesn't—with teams and process. In particular, I thrive on turning the implicit into deliberate decisions.

- Full-stack development with a focus on Ruby on Rails and Elixir ecosystems.

- Expert implementation of TDD (particularly RSpec) ensuring reliable, maintainable code.

- Process, communication, and goal refinement within your existing team.

- Tailored tech consulting to aid in making informed decisions for your tech stack.

- DevOps practices to streamline your deployment and infrastructure management.

My training in Shape Up, and cross-industry exposure, helps me tailor strategies that resonate with your team’s unique dynamics. I thrive in collaborative settings, helping tech leadership and teams navigate through their challenges to achieve exemplary results.

Other engagements have seen me providing code review services to hundreds of developers (junior to CTO level), and driving process improvements that significantly enhance team cohesion and project delivery.

Let’s explore how we can build great stuff together!

SEEKING WORK Remote/Boulder, CO

AI Engineer & Fullstack engineer for decades, entrepreneur.

AI engineer & applied researcher for a decade starting at CMU starting in 1980s, did projects with Apple, aerospace, telecom, etc, left during AI winter. Getting back into it, grasp the big picture perspective of trying to solve complex problems with AI, and grasp the limitations of the current tech (notes on Limited Logic Models: https://societyandai.substack.com/p/llms-and-limited-logic ) that might be bolstered with symbolic AI. I haven't trained models (yet).

I've built stacks, from TCP/IP to GUI frameworks to an object oriented C before C++ was public, so adopt any quickly. Solve technical challenges others struggle with even if I'm new to a stack. Can provide an entrepreneur's perspective on whole product. Founding an AI startup but used up resources so need gig work for first time in decades, short term or part time to get back to startup. Hi there. I'm a computer graphics technologist with 30+ years of professional experience. I try to mostly find Rust R&D gigs lately (last three years). I also get booked to fill architect or PO roles. If I was looking for a full time role it would be a CTO position.

I'm good with everything around teams and software. I have extensive experience leading people, communicating vision, ideation, design, and everything pertaining to software as a product. I am also professional level CG artist. I have been working in technical VFX production (predomintantly R&D) for 15 years. Then in software dev for VFX for five, then as a manager in geospatial mapping/map rendering for another five years. I've been consulting/freelancing after, since 2020.

SEEKING WORK | Cambridge, UK | Remote preferred (occasional travel OK)

I have over 20 years’ experience building software, specialising in:

• Technical applications (mathematical, scientific, engineering)

• Software for hardware (IoT, embedded, lab equipment)

• Interesting presentation (custom UIs, data viz, multimedia/video)

My target market is start-ups/scale-ups/SMEs needing immediate help with either hands-on development work or strategic advice, technical design, etc.

For small to medium applications — such as an MVP for a startup, a UI for a hardware product, or implementing mathematical models and visualisations for researchers — I can offer a fully outsourced development service if required.

I can also join an existing team temporarily to give a short-term boost, perhaps helping with a challenging project or co-ordinating a larger initiative across teams. This can include a training/mentoring element if you need to upskill quickly.

Every project is different and will be treated as such, but recently I’ve been favouring TypeScript or Python for web development (with React or Vue for UI work) and Python, C++ or Haskell for more technical or hardware-related work. I have experience with a wide range of target platforms from AWS to embedded ARM.

If you have a project that I may be able to help you with, you’re welcome to get in touch. My contact details are in my profile.
