#2I don't know if it's the Python programmer in me that was intrigued about it or what, but it is just kind of neat that she is named after the giant serpent slain by Apollo, and I had never heard that before.

#5This is kind of tangential / OT, but one of the interesting things I came across when reading Herodotus is that the "Oracle" at Delphi that was so popularly sought for her prophecies was called the "Pythia" [0].
