And, especially in the context where the same result could have been achieved as easily without resorting to law-breaking, how does that constitute a license to break other laws?
Is dev actually in the UK? It doesn't seem like a great case to pursue across borders. Shall we also enforce Saudi Arabian modesty laws in the UK. How about Tin pot dictatorship laws against criticizing dictators?
It would have to start with an extraordinary effort by the UK to invest millions in getting a fellow and then the other nation being willing to set a terrible precedent to get the uk to fuck off.
Given the relative utility it would be easier to cut off the entire UK

Definitely feels like a "report this website to google" button would be fantastic, if there was a way to automate/simplify such a thing for 1-3 clicks.
I hate to say the word, and especially because HN hates it, but this is effectively what DMCA notices are.
Its not copyright infringement to cause users to request the site and render in an iframe its closer to plugging yourself into someone else's electrical line

#397I don't know why I checked but uhh yup. It's working. There are at least 6 sites on the first page of Google results that now render goatse. Thankfully, the first link is the original one for me.
At least 12 different domains from the top Kagi results. My poor eyes...
It did improve my blocklist however

#399Ah, I had a similar idea. There were too many bots or vulnerability scanners hitting /wp-admin.php on my blog. It was flooding my access logs with 404s because I don't rock wordpress. Nice. I'd probably have settled for something simple like http://127.1/wp-login.php">. These days, you could serve a JS bitcoin miner instead.
