As the original poster noted, this seems to be an interaction between the specific access point or router and the AMD RZ616 driver, and not something that other users are seeing on their home networks. Do Intel or AMD forbid you from mixing and matching wifi cards ? Why the unnecessary fragmentation ?
Otherwise nope - I run Intel ax cards in all of my laptops (HP, Lenovo, Acer, Asus, surface laptop 4 -- came with Intel) and they are solid in windows and Linux.
