YC can definitely also flag stories. This was just removed from the front page even though it wasn't flagged. They need to keep this alive if they want any shred of credibility.

It was flagged for a short while but someone probably vouched for it (another feature you get after a certain karma). The existing flags probably adds a downweight to it.
