I would like CEOs saying stuff like this to be forced to take own-money bets on it. I'd like to get in on that action...
For publicly traded companies (which X no longer is) you can always get in on the action, and short the stock. For privately held companies, what difference does it make what they say? (to anyone else other than the actual stakeholders)

#104I don't get how it is allowed that C-Suits just are allowed to blatantly lie to their investors/board/users they have the data and they know it won't happen. Exactly how Musks knows FSD won't happen this year...
What do you mean FSD won't happen? I used FSD in my car this morning to drive to work

#105Lots of skepticism here with the implicit recognition that it would be a major accomplishment if true. And it absolutely would be a major accomplishment if true.
you could turn any company profitable by firing all its employees and licensing the brand name. It will be an extraordinary accomplishment indeed if X becomes a > $44 billion company, but turning a small profit on declining revenue is not actually moving that direction.
Then why does any company fail when they could just do this 1 easy trick?
