Strengthening my thoughts that most if not all near-term AI developments will find success as features within products controlled by the hyperscalers and established tech giants. Would love to hear from anyone who believes that startups might capture the lion's share of opportunity.

There is benefit to this - 90% of ai startups will be freed to solve other issues.

Because celebrity. These features don't solve any actual problems so they need something to drive traffic. Same as the metaverse abortion.

To be fair, that's a now-standard disclaimer for technology which is fundamentally non-deterministic.

This feels like the corporate regurgitation of character.ai. I'm pretty curious what the contracts/paydays look like for the licensed personalities.

BIG money. Kendal Jenner? Tom Brady? They wouldn't consent to this for less than 10 figures.
