#5What if Bitcoin became popular despite the fact that it was based on blockchain rather than because of it? What if blockchain is a technical fail that's going to join things like NoSQL in the ash heap? Haypenny is digital currency done the right way. Because of that, it's fast, secure, private, and it's far easier to use for average consumers.

but couldn't find how it solved the Byzantine General's problem, transacting without a need for trust.

Bitcoin will always be just another speculation instrument because it's too slow and too expensive to used for any other purpose. The reason is this useless religious garbage called "blockchain".
