In FairEmail, one of the things I appreciate is that clicks always first give you a pop-up with the link target. Maybe a nuisance to some (I'm sure you can turn that off), but I never worry to accidentally tap something and triggering the "user has read the email" tracking. It also makes me doubly appreciate…
FairEmail is extremely good. It even does PGP in a pretty reasonable way. After a couple weeks, the $6 "unlock everything" purchase was a no-brainer.

#15I use Apple Mail with my work Gmail and my personal non-Gmail accounts. The unified inbox is wonderful. There are more powerful clients, to be sure, but built-in, decent, privacy respecting, and secure (as in, I don’t have to store my username and password on a remote server) makes it good enough.

#16I like mutt for its snappiness and usability with keyboard only. And it makes it so easy to invoke vim as the default editor.

#18While I use Apple Mail full-time, I wish I could use Pine or mutt instead. Office 365 and needing to keep a calendar makes this very difficult, however.
