I am currently bootstrapping a product (https://www.performance90.com) but I am open for employment if it's a great fit. I have 8 years of experience as an engineer and 3 years as an entrepreneur. As an engineer I feel at home in the TypeScript and Django ecosystems.I have my own LLC and I am also open to contract work.

Seeking: full-time or contract, I have my own company
Hi, I have 12+ years in tech and analytics, of which 4+ years are working as a Data Scientist. I completed PhD degree 8 years ago. I have broad experience with machine/deep learning (ML & DL) and data science in computer vision (CV), geospatial & climate data. Solid software engineering skills and mindset. I use satellite images, radar data, and time-series structured data in my projects. Now I am learning Rust and am interested in using it in projects.Key results:
– Create, train and tune DL models
– Statistical processing and data analytics of times series from IoT sensors and satellite images
– Remote sensing and computer vision: georeferencing, warping, image filtering and processing, object recognition, interpolation
– Benchmarking and speed up: async, threads, multiprocessing, multidimensional array algorithms with Numpy
– Developed backends for data analyzing services and prediction API in Python and Golang
– Dashboard for comparing data sources by different statistic metrics
– Deployed services to production and staging with Docker Compose, GitLab CI/CD and Bash
Fields: AI, Data Science, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Computer Vision, Backend. Geospational data and IoT sensors (weather and environmental), satellite images, gridded/array data and time-series.

I'm a Tech Lead in a London based startup, where I create an AI Coaching tool for gamers, ex-Amazon Prime Video. ~7 years of experience as software engineer. In the startup I'm leading a team of 4 engineers, mix of Senior and Mid-level engineers.
Technical experience primarily is: in backend but can make frontend changes when needed, in system design, technical vision writing, and technical team management. Outside directly technical experience I also have experience with: company strategy, product development, and pitching.
I have a good mix of technical leadership/management experience, as well strong technical delivery and technical design skills. I can co-ordinate work amongst other engineers, as well as directly lead and drive the out implementation myself.
Looking for a company where I can any of the following: 1) Engineering Management, 2) CTO/CTO-like experience, 3) High profile software engineering IC, e.g. Staff/Principal Engineer, that implements but also has strong mentoring impact on other engineers. Not strongly settled on whether I'll be looking at IC or EM as next role, but I do take great satisfaction from growing other engineers and seeing the whole company output great product in turn.
I like to focus primarily on B2C consumer applications (particularly very product-driven companies), but not against any particularly interesting B2B company either. Ideal company size is 10-50 in size, where engineers/product is a strong driver of the company growth.
Re: Ask HN: Who wants to be hired? (July 2023)
#309I've spent much of my career thinking about how we could build and operate software projects better. I've identified some problems common to most places I've worked and abstractions I think could solve them. This focus helps me be a better engineer and maybe someday I can turn these ideas into a company.
For the past 8 years I've spent half my time freelancing and am open to new gigs.
But I'm now hoping to find a permanent high-level IC position in a team of sharp, dedicated peers where I feel that craftsmanship is valued. I find when you dig into the weeds there is an infinite amount of interesting challenges in almost every domain; ideally we would be working on something with great potential to advance humanity and bring financial independence.
My style is modest, easy to understand architectures, ample docs and extra layers of security. I enjoy giving code reviews, accepting criticism and sharing knowledge. I'd say the most important skill of an engineer is managing the inevitable complexity that arises as systems grow, for example to isolate it by dividing a system into loosely-coupled components
