Definitely agree. I would summarize it a bit differently, but when people talk about AI dangers they are usually talking about 1 of 4 different things: 1. AI eventually takes control and destroys humans (i.e. the Skynet concern). 2. Why is it that AI can only be used in detrimental ways? Surely, AI could also be used to counter, for example, 2 and 4. Claiming a net negative effect of AI isn't a trivial thing.
Now with this constraint, who is going to be running AI? Large corporations, and do any corporations do stuff for the good of humanity, or is it for the greedy pocketbooks of their investors?
Regulations will be required, but governments tend to lag. Further in the US the corporations will fight tooth and nail to prevent regulations around AI.
