SEEKING WORK | REMOTE contract

Need help with migrating to next.js? Looking for a React developer who would be productive from day 1?

Hi. I'm looking for full-time remote roles in a well-funded stable company (I will work in the company's core office hours. 0 issues with timezones. Been working remotely before covid)

Building websites since 2016, working with React since 2018 and have 2 years of production next.js experience

Super comfortable with Next.js, React, Redux (with sagas), tailwind, material ui, styled-components, SEO schemas, AMP, MERN, scalable deployment on GCP/AWS/Vercel, incremental migration and parallel deployment (WordPress blogs, new next.js code and old code working on the same domain)

I value web performance (web vitals) and accessibility and could create high conversion dynamic pages

Hey everyone! I am Shashank, a data, cloud and backend engineer with 8 years of experience. Currently, I specialize in building backend APIs, ETL pipelines, and developing security tools at an Ad Tech security company. At my previous company, I served as a founding engineer and data engineer. During my tenure, I designed and built the entire data infrastructure, payments platform, and most of the company's products. Throughout my 8-year career, I have gained extensive experience in delivering products from concept to launch, designing architecture, product & infrastructure planning, and managing small teams.

SEEKING WORK

Location: SF-based, currently on extended travel in Central time zone.

Remote: Yes

I'm a web developer who's been through a swing of the technology pendulum and am looking for 1-3 month gigs and ongoing relationships. I can do general development, modernize stacks, rapid prototype, train offshore teams, architect high volume/low latency systems, build to 5-9s SLA SRE/DevOps constraints, eyeball-level web development for informational sites, and more jack of all trades stuff. My T shape definitely goes deep on integrations and reverse engineering, like protocols and formats (not exactly scrapers, but up that alley; making sense of others' work).

Most recent tech is Python, coming into Django/Wagtal CMS. I've made a number of apps with Flask as well. Prior I did a number of SPAs with an old and boring JS toolkit that I used before NodeJS/React... can still make some great stuff with it (my open source / mission work is extremely resource constrained, so that's the theme). Bootstrap 4-5, ExtJS 2 or Inkscape are the visual languages I can express ideas in quickly.

I'm willing to work pretty cheap since I've been out of the industry for a few years focused on personal projects, tho still treating my work with the professional care that would have been required. That's also given me some good boots on the ground insights into the service/labor environments I've been working in at entry level (to save brain power for my mission work).

My Calendly link and some other info is in the bio--it does have a 18 hour notice period for me, just put in the meeting notes if you want to try for sooner and the time and I'll get back to you if I can do it (and hopefully plan to attend as a backup time for you).

Thanks,

Harlan
