Not so sure about that. Wendy's drivethrough chatbot is programmed to upsell. Even the base GPT is heavily tuned to cater to a corporate audience.

This is awful and disgusting indeed. It is telling that the author defaulted to girlfriend. It shows utter alienation from what is ethically expected in or time. This is a case in point of a morally uneducated person messing with technology that should not be available to such people. This is evidence that AI needs to be regulated before some more talented and equally morally inept does so.
