I know there's a legitimate, serious discussion to be had here, but anecdotally all of my TikTok stream is cooking and memes. I'm pretty sure that's based on my viewing habits, because I love cooking and memes, but it does make these serious claims humorous at times.

I get the random insertion of AI-generated "Russian man" shouting hyper-conservative/far-right propaganda. I always leave a comment stating it is propaganda, and flag for removal.

I see you government, trying to infiltrate my wholesome FYP of booktok, math, and physics.

Indeed. Like thinking Tiktok is "such a serious danger" while having apps such as Spotify, Snapchat, and Amazon or Meta installed on our phones, using Google , or using devices such as "smart-tvs" and computers with Windows OS. Let's not forget the mild tinge of prejudice/racism that colors the messaging.

It had direct access to Facebook content before it got encrypted for transit. How is that not backdoor access to social media? That sounds exactly like what it is alleged TikTok has.
