That's actually not true, we have American states that are 99% white and are a good test, they compare favorably to European states with the same demographics crime wise. (look at the north east) Why isn't West Virginia, a dirt poor state that's almost fully white, a crime ridden state?

Several reasons for WV (which is still middle of the pack for crime in the US) not relating to race including an extremely low population density that is also shrinking and poor law enforcement.
