The poster wants to imply the population is black Americans even though similar ethnic groups in other countries don’t have nearly the same violent crime rates. Either there are structural factors at play or black Americans are somehow a specific distinct population from people of that diaspora around the world. This is where the analytical skepticism of people who insinuate these ideas tends to fall apart.

Wow, almost like culture matters. Structural factors for a single population out of dozens of distinct ones to kill, rape, rob, loot, riot, at rates 10x+ higher than others. Funny how the same factors end up applying in Brazil, Europe, and even Japan.

At least try to bring some evidence when casually spouting random racist falsehoods, we’re an empirically driven discussion forum.

Case in point: My father was an EE at GM in the 70s. He told me one time that the company knew of a problem in some model from that era where when you made a hard left turn with the air conditioning on, the engine would stall. Fixing it would have increased the cost of each car by 15 cents, so they chose not to fix it. These models were later recalled. I don’t know whether the cost of the recall was more than the cost to have just done it right in the first place.

This viewpoint is so backwards to me.

Rich people buy up the nicest houses. They buy themselves new Teslas. They buy $5k sofas and $10k refrigerators and $20k NFTs. They hire landscapers and cleaners and movers and roofers and pay them minimum wage, or less. They buy up all the other houses and rent them out for double the mortgage payments. They get a $50k bonus from their job at some payday-loan-app startup and they buy another Tesla. All while their neighbors starve.

And then one day someone steals one of their Teslas, and they bemoan the injustice that normal, law-abiding citizens like them face and resolve to hate the poor even more.

It's social dysfunction alright, just not how you think.

Interestingly, isn't this exactly what happens when American tech companies get fined and/or are forced to implement certain regulations in Europe?

Are European regulations due to people stealing tech devices?

I thought it was due to anti-consumer practices.
