I'm a software pro with 15+ years of experience building products that meet users' needs. Agile and scrum are my jam, and I'm a BackEnd expert who can build microservices, integrate systems, and handle databases. I'm all about automation and DevOps, and I never stop learning.

I started designing and developing websites way back in 1997 on a Sega Saturn Netlink. Without a keyboard in hand, I hand-wrote my table based HTML markup in old notebooks to transcribe into CGI web editors utilizing an on-screen keyboard and controller, and of course, all while collaborating over IRC.

Luckily, times have changed and I now own both multiple PC's and keyboards. I have since worked on countless projects from interesting startups in various spaces, to enterprise level applications, as well as multiple personal and collaborative projects. I also founded Elemeno, a collective of talent functioning as a digital agency. You have most likely even seen some of my design work for large brand-names in the market.

I am a machine learning researcher/engineer with a wide range of experiences. Most recently I worked on architecture optimization techniques for pytorch at Meta. Before that I was the first ML hire at a couple different companies: a series A NLP startup (Cultivate) that was acquired and at a mortgage scale-up (Blend) that eventually IPOd.

I really enjoy flat fast teams with smart and kind people. I have experience leading teams and managing people but would prefer a more technical role. I travel a lot and live a semi-nomadic lifestyle, so it's important to me to work somewhere that handles asynchronous work well. Open to contract / advisor work as well.

I’m a software engineer with over a decade of experience across a variety of domains and technologies. I can design and implement nearly every aspect of modern software systems, including web, mobile, and sdk clients, cloud-native and distributed systems, CI/CD orchestrators, big data processing pipelines, public and private APIs, automated testing suites, and developer tools.

For the stakeholder/owner/operator:

But you don’t really care about that, I imagine. You want to run a more efficient business– to uncover new opportunities, and to leverage your unique competitive advantages. That’s where I specialize, software as a means to an end. I work closely with stakeholders to deeply understand your business and identify areas where technology can provide powerful tools for efficiency and growth.

For the engineer looking for help:

You want to hire a solid engineer, with a proven track record, who can help you solve difficult problems. Ideally this engineer can design solutions that meet the demands of the business today, while considering the ever-evolving needs of the system tomorrow. It would be great if this person also seeks to understand the business, not just the software, so they can become an asset in stakeholder discussions and help define the future of the company. Oh, and hopefully you can find someone who is pleasant to work with– constructive, instructive, open to feedback, and fun.
