#2“EV sales” includes plug in hybrids. I’m a big proponent of plug in hybrids as a good transition vehicle for those not willing / able to to full EV, but they should be reported separately.

According to the data source, about 20% of the “EV sales” are PHEVs:

That’s actually higher than I expected. The availability of PHEVs in the US has always seemed pretty terrible to me.
