Re: AI Incident Database
#32Prompt: write html using tailwindcss for a landing page of a website called "AI incident reports" that boils down to "there have been 0 incidents of AIs causing harm. The website should look like it's meant to have lists of incidents, graphs, and so on. Consider what someone thoughtful about AI x-risk would want to track. And then have 0 for all the categories and graphs.
Let's think step by step: what should be on the website?

#33Do we do things like this for other technology or for other software? Why the huge intense fear as soon as someone puts a label 'AI' on a piece of software?

Re: AI Incident Database
#37An interesting idea for a website to track this stuff, especially because so much of the AI space is filled with vaporware and theoretical scenarios. One nitpick -- this incident is caused by traditional video game AI, not to be confused with the neural stuff that's causing waves right now: https://incidentdatabase.ai/cite/38/
We index everything that people believe is AI. Including GOFAI, for example: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GOFAI
We also index incidents related to people transferring decision authority to simple programs like the Stanford vaccine distribution: https://incidentdatabase.ai/cite/91/
In general, we err towards indexing useful information to the state of AI safety and introduced indexing "AI Issues" to develop the boundary and collect information on systems likely to produce incidents in the future: https://incidentdatabase.ai/apps/discover/?display=details&i...

Genetically Modified Organisms? I was under the impression these were very safe. Can you change my mind?
20 years ago everyone was scared of GMOs and begging for regulation. Many european nations banned them in response. Other places insisted on labeling them so consumers could avoid the danger. We now know that they are safe and these efforts were counterproductive.

I like that metric, but wonder how one would design a dead-man's switch for it?
