RIP. As an ex-Intel employee, this one stings. He was a godly figure internally and even during Intel's deteriorating years, engineers and technologists looked up to him as a constant north star of inspiration and engineering culture. Hope his demise gives a long pause to Intel's leadership and bring back some of good parts of the engineering culture from the 80's and 90's.

Not to diminish your list, but notably they're all non scientific, there's a push with Kissinger. (One could see economics as a science) Point being: they only serve the generation who survive them, Moore, will outlive us all, in fact and in legacy. Edit: What I said isn't true, music, movies and arts will outlive us. We have different lists.

I watch old ones, too, but always by myself. Nobody else wants to. It's always "eww, black and white!"
Often they're right. They'd be much more watchable with an AI that could sharpen the picture and colorize it.

#97Weird how this works sometimes… I was just at the Monterey Bay Aquarium for the first time today, saw the name on the auditorium and thought “that Gordon (and Betty) Moore?”
Truly an incredible place, and thanks in very large part to the Moores. RIP Gordon.

Watched it with the family! Was a hit
Hard disagree on the colorization bit. I don’t see how color would improve some thing like Psycho or Citizen Kane
