#54Why would you deposit more than the insured amount in a bank? Could it not be split over multiple accounts and/or banks? Or pursue an institution that has additional insurance? (my brokerage, for example, uses Lloyd's of London for coverage beyond SIPC)

#60I don't get the sense there is a lot of sympathy from HN over this event. People lost money, payroll may be missed, that's a detrimental thing for a lot of people. If little sympathy, why?
If any significant payroll gets missed I'm getting out the popcorn, regulators and courts will get that back.
