If that were the case wouldn't the same over-scoring be present in the first part of the experiment (where participants were asked about their beliefs around racial stereotypes in general)?

As a corollary, why does there need to be an excuse for this? Maybe it is right, maybe it’s wrong but I’m surprised you’d jump to it must be broken

It’s weird they don’t publish the demographics of the students.

Does anybody have more insights into the research itself? The publication was gated for me. Would be nice to see the details and sample size...etc.

How did they control for non-racial differences in the bots? In the thumbnail the Black bot looks more trustworthy (to me) because the white bot looks like a creepy baby.

Yes, both the White and Asian bots have a 12 year-old boy hairstyle.
