Hi there , I'm from country where you could unlock many cars of same model with your car key, yet there was little or no car theft.

To me this is just a proxy for the number of bugs the car might have that could show up at some point.

That’s more worrying than car theft.

There were no bugs then, there was very little electronics in a car. Not like in Uber.
