SEEKING WORK, REMOTE or HYBRID, US + EU + ASEAN

Hello, and Happy New Year!

I'm a Software Consultant seeking clients. I have extensive experience with server-side engineering, usually in mission-critical business-focused systems. You can think of me as a Software Architect who loves to code.

I am particularly interested in codebase migration: between languages, between platforms, to/from/between Cloud(s). But I'm happy to hear about your software development needs. If it's server (or serverless!) I can probably help.

Available for full-remote work or hybrid. In the latter case, think: stints at the office, then stints remote. For engagements in the EU or Asia, I am open to full-time on-site.

You can email me at (my HN username) @ tonsai.dev

I hope everyone here finds the awesome gig they need to launch 2023!

can i just step in for a second and point out its 30 replies here and just a single seeking freelancer comment. I have never seen this on HN as far as i can remember. Its also the feeling i get from my usual freelancer newsletters and linkedin offers, i have rarely seen the market so empty, not even at the beginning of the coronavirus lockdowns.

I rarely see seeking freelancer entries here to be fair so to me, especially this soon after it was created, this does not feel that rare?

Could be that many business/hiring folks are still on holiday. I don't blame them for not spending their holiday on HN :).
