I'm a senior backend engineer who has worked in pure Java and Spring, with NoSQL and SQL databases. I have built a rock-solid distributed system using kubernetes to process millions of events per day, backed by a SQL database with a NoSQL cache, with a message driven architecture powered by RabbitMQ. I built an observability system that allowed us to react to problems in seconds to minutes. I can design APIs, database schemas and distributed systems.

Looking for a mid-long term project with a good work/life balance.

Hi! I'm Henry, a Computer Science student with two previous SWE internship experiences. I'm looking for software engineering internships and part-time positions.

I interned at JP Morgan Chase in summer 2022, where I used Elasticsearch to implement a recommendation feature for their regulatory compliance library, which houses 15 million law citations. I also interned at an early-stage AI start-up in summer 2021, where I took ownership over the development of an online code assessment platform, and deployed the final product on Alpha launch day.

Feel free to reach me at codicate@gmail.com

I'm a principal-level individual contributor with 14 years of full-stack experience in a wide variety of technologies, languages, and problem spaces.

As a member and founder of a variety of startups, I've worn every hat. This allows me to translate the different languages and perspectives between different departments, allowing me to act as a consensus-builder and communications hub when organizational buy-in is critical.

I've led and developed teams of up to twelve engineers, have many years of experience in a technical product ownership role, and have been fully responsible for the architecture, initial implementation, and ongoing production management and maintenance for systems currently used by millions in the health care space.

These include no-code web builders for forms and whole applications that have saved thousands of developer-hours and millions of dollars, HIPAA-compliant, versioned and fully-auditable data stores, configurable streaming data infrastructure system, and a workflow engine that is responsible for the coordination of a live production application that serves millions.

My main interests outside of tech lie in music, language, biology, and economics, all of which I have experience mixing with my technological skills in various side projects.

I'm available for strategic and architectural consultation, teaching and mentorship, as an individual contributor, and as a senior or director-level engineering manager.
