- 5+ years of Backend/Data experience and infrastructure
- used to working closely with Data Scientist and build them tools
- good experience working on greenfield projects
- very adaptable and good at figuring things out
I'm an expert engineer, data professional, web3 jockey, and technical leader.
At Edmunds.com, I worked on a fairly successful ad-tech product and my team bootstrapped a data pipeline using Spark, Databricks, and microservices built with Java, Python, and Scala.
For a few years, I consulted for attn:, a new-media company, and re-built an ETL Kubernetes stack, including data loaders and extractors that handle >10,000 API payload extractions daily. More recently, I helped migrate said stack to Google serverless cloud functions.
These days, I'm the cofounder and CTO of a funded web3 crypto/gaming startup and help run day-to-day operations and manage hiring & tech decisions.
I'm not exactly "looking for work," but rather open to any opportunities and would love to connect even if it's just for networking. If you're in the LA area, let's grab a coffee!

I have over 10 years experience as a full stack software engineer, I recently left Facebook/Meta to work in early stage startups. About 6 years of that experience has been in payments processing & fintech.
I'm most enthusiastic about early stage startups -- it's been quite hectic this year but I find the work environment & pace of life much more exciting than big tech.
I've been working at various startups or consulting for the past 8 years, building everything from mobile apps for NBA teams, to rewriting mission critical software for natural gas conglomerates, to creating realtime healthcare systems that have a five 9's uptime requirement.
I worked full time a healthcare start up for years, on a rotating 24/7, week long, oncall shift. I've navigated serious system outages caused by both internal, and external integration issues. I've written numerous retrospectives after incidents, documenting what happened, why and how it happened, and what measure we can take to ensure it doesn't happen again. I've built integrations with various observability platforms, and created internal tools where integrations weren't an option.
In these positions I've set up CI/CD platforms, designed numerous webs systems that were fully documented using infrastructure as code tools, integrated notification and observability platforms, regularly preformed PR reviews, pushed to establish better engineer practices (automated formatting, static typing, dependency management, coding style, etc), and have lead teams of other engineers on many projects.
I'm currently consulting on a few short term contracts and am looking to start working somewhere full-time in the new year.

I create full stack applications that use frontends and CLI tools to allow users to interact with experimental hardware. I have an expertise in deploying apps end to end with a focus on user interaction.
- at Apple I built a system that took logs and data upon runtime exceptions from autonomous robots and would that data over LTE to a processing system. Built on device daemon, API, NextJS UI with web socket frontend for auto updates, Kube deployment, etc. This allowed engineers to fix bugs as they happened, instead of waiting for a full ingestion pipeline.
- (abstract) at Tenstorrent and Apple, I have built systems that handle the lifecycle of experimental hardware distributed across labs and data centers around the world. Leveraging Kubernetes we can connect Unix like hardware to experimental hardware. Create UI/CLI for viewing, reserving, and provisioning said hardware. Use UI/CLI to run customers code in containers against said managed hardware. My system at Apple managed the hardware behind SPG's testing suite.
