The terms of carriage are great. You acknowledge that there might be fuck all medical care. You acknowledge that if you miss the boat, tough shit. You acknowledge that all legal disputes will be settled in the Bahamas. It's like renting a very expensive apartment, but with seasickness, and even less rights.
That's just more expensive than average cruises
You're locked in a shopping mall subject to Bahamas law with an HOA on steroids and on top of it all you may encounter pirates or sink, assuming the operator doesn't go bankrupt first. Plus your house has to be docked or dry docked for long periods of time for maintenance and you have to share "your" vessel with hundreds of other people. Also, those purchase prices are old numbers, unless they really have stayed that low, which is possible since ships are depreciating assets.

Have you done the math? What are they asking, and what size yacht could you buy for the same amount? And how much is the upkeep for both?
You can get a 46' Morgan sailboat for $50,000 or a 44' Jeanneau for $475,000.
But I would say an average 45' sailboat is about $50K - $100K.
I'd go with a sailboat - the wind is free, but a motorboat can be very expensive. And of course, you can still have an inboard motor on your sailboat.
100% your own boat would be a vastly better deal, if that's what you want to do.
Plus, if you want to spend a lot of time on a boat, you can even find sailing partners to help you sail around for free. People who don't own a boat but want to sail the world. If you want. But the cool thing is, if you own the boat, is it is your decision, you can do whatever you want.
