Re: MilkyTracker
#2MilkyTracker is an open source, multi-platform music application for creating .MOD and .XM module files. It attempts to recreate the module replay and user experience of the popular DOS program Fasttracker II, with special playback modes available for improved Amiga ProTracker 2/3 compatibility.

#4It's truly great. Trackers are a totally different way of making music.

#5Might as well link Deflemask if we're sharing trackers we like.

Re: MilkyTracker
#7I love MilkyTracker for its minimalist Amiga tracker-esque experience, but have been frustrated by its instability on macOS. You really do have to save your work very frequently in order to avoid losing it so I've found myself gravitating towards Renoise, even though it's paid and - very recently - Deflemask (I also like that it supports SID tracking, which is what I've been playing with).
