Charge Robotics | Mechanical Engineer | Full-time | Onsite | SF Bay Area

Hi HN! We’re a YC-backed startup building robots that build large-scale solar farms. It turns out that construction companies literally can't build solar fast enough, so what we're doing is a crucial part of switching the grid over to renewable generation. We're funded and are looking to bring a talented mechanical engineer onto our small team. Check out our Launch HN for more info: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=30780455

You’ll be a key contributor, helping bring our prototype system to life: an automated, portable robotic factory that fits inside a shipping container.

Our founding team has experience growing companies and building robots like this. One of our founders was the second employee at a robotics startup that recently announced a $1.1B public offering.

Come work with us if you love:

* Fast-paced prototype development with hardware and software components

* Making a positive climate impact through your work

* Hacking on massive construction equipment!

BindiMaps | REMOTE or ONSITE | Australia | Full-time | $140k-175k

BindiMaps is an early-stage, funded startup that aims to make indoor spaces accessible for everyone, with an initial focus on vision impaired and neurodivergent individuals.

Our mobile applications run our localisation algorithms to accurately locate users within large indoor spaces, and then guide them to their destination with friendly turn-by-turn directions.

There's also a set of complex web applications that allow us to set up locations, run simulations to verify and debug algorithm performance, and we have client-facing mapping and reporting applications too.

The backend stack runs on GCP, and the web applications primarily use Typescript, React, Docker, and Node, with a bit of Python and Kotlin for some of the algorithm work.

We are hiring to keep up with our rapid growth, and to make our next big push: a camera-based localisation system capable of sub-meter accuracy, and the AR experiences this technology enables. Our current efforts in this area have delivered great results, so we think it's the right time to grow the team.

We are hiring for iOS, Android, and web developer positions[0]. I'm one of the engineers on the team and after a few years I can say it's a great place to work. Competitive salaries, flexibility on where you work (I work remotely but we have offices in Melbourne and Sydney), and a really solid product. There's a very flat org structure, and management trusts the tech team to make the right long-term decisions.

If you'd like to work on a product that provides meaningful social impact as well as real technical challenges, you can apply at [1]. Make sure to mention you're from HN.
