Virtually anyone with deep roots in england have landed gentry in their ancestry because statistically they survived long enough to have more progeny. So the base premise here is just wrong. We're all descended from Adam, and Joseph of Aramathea.
The unusual thing is having a traced relation with royalty or stretching back this far.
