This is not actually a pre-order, or atleast not as implied by the word pre-order, rather they are simply sold out. Source: currently typing on one :)

According to that review, it's only average for writing and programming due to it being wired and the wrist-rest being an optional addon. I wouldn't consider those things deal-breakers.
