Hey folks! I'm looking for roles in "the trenches" as it were: deep backend software work, infrastructure, devxp/productivity, or even more systems/Linux CLI type of stuff. My recent background could be described as a bit of "mutt SRE": backend app code mixed in with observability and reliability work mixed in with evangelizing best development practices mixed in with, of course, deployment and Ops and AWS/Heroku/DigitalOcean infrastructure work.
My ideal work environment is something less than 5 days a week (my most recent job was a Tues-Fri shop), but I'm open to discussion on that. I'm open to full-time, part-time, or truly ideal world, I'd love to continue to work on open-source stuff, or things adjacent to it; as seen on my GitHub (@klardotsh) and GitLab (same username), I love contributing to the scene that has given and taught me so much. But, I'm open to just about anything stable, and preferably smaller-scale (teams where you can remember everyone's name without much strain!).
Actively looking; I'll do my best to respond to any and all inbound messages. Thanks so much!

Hi there. I’m a skilled neural network research engineer with ~5 years of focused experience across a number of neural network modalities and solved hard NN projects under my belt. My biggest strengths include combining or developing novel techniques for extremely difficult or unsolved problems that may need a creative solution. I have enough experience in different modalities across the DL field at this point that I’m able to pivot to most new projects relatively easily.I’m wired in a way where I work best by sticking on 1-2 projects with long time horizons (3-18 months). Getting to know and optimize the unique, intimate particulars of a problem is something that brings me a lot of joy. On the flip side, it is equally as difficult for me to perform well in a high-task thrash environment, like a traditional scaled software development environment (sorry!). That said, when I’ve been in environments that match my strengths, I believe that I’ve been able to bring solutions that other people haven’t been able to. I also have a lot of valuable battle-tested experience that comes from building and debugging a lot of neural networks, something not easily googlable.
So, for my hard pitch -- if you have any projects that fit the above then you might find me an exceptionally good fit for the position. I should be able to work on almost any modality (protein structure prediction, instant nerf, long-term language model coherence, etc). If you’re interested, please feel free to curl my resume from above for more info (it’s terminal-focused, basic screening on my end). And, hey, even if you’re not interested, feel free to say hi anyways! :)
Somewhat related, I’m happy to answer any reasonable technical neural network questions in the comments of this post. Feel free to leave a question if you have any, I’ll be checking back at this post occasionally to answer whatever I can.
Many thanks, and feel free to let me know if you have any questions! :)

I'm coming from a decade old experience in building products and services for my former company, which I was one of the founders. I left because I wanted to seek new challenges and opportunities and also for different visions about the future of the company. I'm pretty much a "full stack" software engineer and I'm looking for a senior position.

I am a full stack developer with a Master's degree in Computer Science and almost 4 years of professional experience with JavaScript and C#/.NET. In the last few years my main focus has been the React/Next.js ecosystem, followed by Node.js. I am a JavaScript professional and a Python beginner interested to get more exposure to it. I have also worked with ASP.NET in the past which is not my primary focus at the moment. I have a basic understanding of DevOps tools.A quick and easy way to estimate current skill level, the quality of my code, and my preferred tech stack (Next.js, TypeScript, React Query, Prisma, Postgres, TailwindCSS, Docker) is to check out my latest project: https://github.com/nemanjam/nextjs-prisma-boilerplate
I am looking for a full-time remote position. We can discuss relocation after some time spent in the company. You can check out my other projects at https://github.com/nemanjam . I have detailed resume available, you can tell me about your company and project by email: nemanja.mitic.elfak [at] hotmail.com
