#2In Windows 10 the cursor would automatically end up on top of to the start button if you moved your mouse to the corner of your screen. They have completely borked that functionality in Windows 11 and I still don't understand why.

That still works, it just doesn't line up visually.

Push windows key. Start shows up. Moving mouse to bottom left for start might have been a funct for you but it wasn't for me. Surprising so many folks struggle w ui/ux changes. I prefer 11 over all other windows distros. It's the closest feel wise to Ubuntu. Love that they caught up finally.

That still works, it just doesn't line up visually.
I am happy they built that in, as I believe that wasn't the case in earlier builds?

There is also Ctrl+Esc for people like me having a keyboard that was made before the first Windows was released :-)

Start menu came out in Windows 95.
Imagine after 28 years of driving cars, the auto manufacturer suddenly swaps the gas / throttle pedal and brake pedal positions on the new model and then acts surprised why people don't like it.

There's no "never combine" in the taskbar.
Absolutely horrible. That was the very first setting I changed on every new PC.
Without that, I have no use for the taskbar at all. Now I auto-hide the taskbar, install Powertoys and use Powertoys Run to search for the window I want every time.
What the hell is Microsoft thinking? Doesn't anyone there actually use the stuff they're making?

#10Can they at least let me make it smaller? I did the workaround with the registry setting, but it cuts off some of the time and date.
