#4Creating an editor that can compete with Figma or Adobe XD (I have never used)
is an impressive undertaking.
Opening up the file format is also good. Open sourcing the editor would be even better.

No thats not what a being a public company means. It may be Adobe's only or primary goal, but public companies can have many goals inline with their specific corporate charter. Let's stop paying lip-service to one hypothesis of corporate governance.

#7We just recently have upgraded to Figma enterprise (which is an annual contract) in order to get SSO. It is definitely reassuring to hear that our data won’t be trapped forever if Figma goes the way of the Creative Cloud. I hope that either Penpot will close the gap, or that Sketch will improve their in-browser game.

That’s how one opens a format. Is a format even copyrightable?
