Any hiring or new initiative looks "careless" if it didn't work out, but it could have just been a calculated risk that didn't pay off, especially given how chaotic the last few years have been.

Twilio is showing -- what do you know -- 13% headcount growth over the last 6 months and a median tenure of 1.3 years.

I wonder what race they deliberately targeted for these layoffs, with language like that. Oh well, I guess we'll never know.
