#27:( It's mind-boggling to me to think about how long 70 years of reign actually is. How many world leaders she has seen come and go. How much the world changed since then.
She was just a year and a bit short of passing Louis XIV for longest reigning monarch. Almost made it...

#30Argh, and she was so close to overtaking Louis XIV as the longest reigning monarch in history! I was really hoping we'd beat the French.
But seriously, this is a momentous day for Britain and the world. She was a titan of public life, known to billions. The world will never be the same without her. I don't know what these means for Britain but I expect it will be quite destabilising.
May she rest in peace. Long live the king!
