Also dang, recently HN's filters are too aggressive - from sentence-casing USPTO (to Uspto which isn't even a pronounceable acronym) to removing Twitter's search queries.

#6This also likely means I will need to rework our systems to spit out docx instead of/in addition to PDFs, which will be a nightmare to do. So that's fun.

#8I was wondering why docx format would be chosen instead of PDF but they answer it pretty completely here if anyone else is interested: https://www.uspto.gov/patents/docx
But it doesn't really say why they chose to build on docx.
