#2Someone in the UK government silently edited an international statement signed by 20+ countries to remove commitments to sexual and reproductive health and rights, and bodily autonomy, as well as most countries' signatures.
This edit does not show up as the last updated date, and people who subscribed to the page did not receive email notifications.

I despise the Tories and everything they stand for. Recent events have proved me right, these people are not interested in anything but power for its own sake. Roll on the next general election where I shall express deep pleasure voting for anyone but them.

If they only want power, wouldn't they just follow the major position on abortion? Why would they take the electoral risk?

If they only want power, wouldn't they just follow the major position on abortion? Why would they take the electoral risk?
The personal positions of MPs seem to have little influence on the voteshare in general elections. The positions of the party leader play a larger part, but still not that great. Politics in the UK proceeds largely via slogans and mildly embarrassing pictures.
