There are no guarantees in life, and anything is possible. The asking price is either worth it you, or it isn’t. I’m sure it’s worth it for some people. The OP will likely adjust the price if it turns out there are too few customers.

This is indeed a problem with all indie developers, but look at it from another angle - what are you really losing if support stops? If you'd still be getting what you've paid for when support ends, then it's a lot easier to purchase this. Plus, presumably, while support lasts, you'd start getting more features on top of what you've paid for.
Authors could address concerns like yours by explaining what they would do if they decide to end support.

#89This tool saved me when I had to clone a few deeply nested bits of a site between two projects with completely different stacks.
Paid full price and was very much worth it: saved me hours of untangling the horrific CMS-generated source CSS. I just plonked it in the destination and went on with my life.
Now I use it from time to time and it's a nice addition to the built in dev tools.

Anyone working on agency-led projects would benefit from this. Think pharma or other brand-focused companies where the same design elements need to be replicated across multiple, separate projects. Agencies throw over templates or prototypes and expect the rest of the company to be following along. That sounds like it can/should be solved using reusable parts of a design system though.
That would be wonderful but isn't always possible.
