People who have been exposed to got cancer, but that is meaningless in showing causation. Internal documents show concern, but show no evidence that it causes cancer, or that Monsanto had internal data showing it caused cancer.
This type of rhetoric isn’t helpful, except to companies and manufacturers looking to minimize the attention around specific products with known carcinogenic properties.
It doesn't really require a deep study when you see values outside the normal range.

Settlement goes both ways, so I don't think your argument is sound.
This is bad journalism. Glyphosate is not “linked” to cancer. Sone groups think it is “probably” a carcinogen but most every governing body around the world says it is not as there’s no proof of the link at all. You're overthinking this a little. If Monsanto comes up with a new weedkiller, they have to prove that its safe for humans before its put into use. It has nothing to do with restaurants. Obviously stuff would be grandfathered in as well. But its a fantastic idea going forward.
That would pretty much mean no new chemicals could be used for anything ever.

Winning or losing a lawsuit of this type is not necessarily proof of guilt, or proof that roundup causes cancer. what it proves is that a jury was convinced that it does.
Funny we execute people based on that standard, but yet it’s somehow lesser here…

I think organic is great. I just wish we didn’t put non-GMO in the same bucket. Give me GMO foods without pesticides.
Isn't part of the benefit of GMO foods that you can make them tolerant to various pesticides? There are other ways to use GMO to make more productive crops, but my understanding was that one of the big reasons is that you can make crops that ignore pesticides that wipe out existing pests.
It's been in global use for almost 50 years. I don't doubt that it may produce some negative effects, but it wouldn't concern me even a little bit to discover that some of it could be detected in my urine. If the impacts were that severe I expect that they would have shown up in force by now.
Plastics have been around for decades, but they're being used in greater volume every year, and we've been finding them in odd places, and we aren't sure it's safe for them to be in those places.

A home ban seems backwards. I'm more worried about ingesting glyphosate from corn products than spraying it on weeds. I don't eat weeds.
