There will be no change until it is forced upon us when the treats stop flowing. And even then you just have to hope that the populace has an accurate story in their heads as to why.

#6It is just me, or is this an open call for a proletariat revolution against the bourgeois? Any successful "plunge past the first-class passengers" will not be a peaceful event.

#8The really, really big problem is that people seem to think that they personally are going to be exempt from this, that it will happen to others, but not to them. Waking up from that will be pretty harsh. But if COVID denialism is any indication of how well humanity deals with complex problems on a planetary scale I'm not too optimistic about climate change countermeasures, the problem is much more complex and would require cooperation on a far more massive scale than anything COVID related.
