Yeah, that’s a lie. Try having what used to be the standard opinion about a certain topic less than 10 years ago and expect to be banned. Not just by moderators but by admins.

The point being that was a definition pulled out of your ass that not everyone shares, and then you got on a soap box of opinion-based nonsense that you "feel" is right. You are speaking from nowhere but an emotional place and trying to dress it up in pseudo-intellectual analyses of the state of the world, and it shows. For some, the term Woke goes no farther than "they cast a black person in this movie."
If you embrace the language you will be embraced by the institution. If you reject the language you will be removed. Your actions or nuanced takes are immaterial. Embrace the ideology as prescribed, or suffer.

It does not have a side, or an agenda, or rarely even a purpose beyond the exercise of control over others. It's trolling, period.
So as soon as you decide you wamt to optimize for growth over exclusivity, you are DOA because shortly (in startup time) your platform will become 99.99999% bullshit.

Yeah, advertisers want "brand safety" and having the most neutral and inoffensive topics possible (and nothing controversial) is what enables that. Censorship arises organically on the advertiser-based web, which many users of this site have had a hand in creating.
