I've tested many models these years and G502 is both good for gaming and coding. If your work deals with large code files or excel sheets you will definitely need the infinity scroll. It also got five programmable side keys that can automatically switch profiles based on the active window.

I am not sold on programmable keys (yet) but I do deal with a lot of code and scrollable data. Will definitely check out 502.

Seconded. When I have to use a desktop PC, I always use my Kingston Expert Mouse Wired. I hear they're better for ergonomics and I'm not sure about that since I've never had pain with any mouse, I just prefer that the trackball doesn't need any extra space or hand movements like a mouse does.

This one is interesting. I've never used a trackball mouse so I'm not sure how long it'd take for me to be productive. But I'll definitely try one at office to get a feel. Thanks for recommending this.
