Hi! I have seven years of experience in working with software and focus primarily on Systems Engineering, Embedded Development, Machine Learning, DevOps, Open Source, and Rust.

I'm interested in contracting/freelancing remote opportunities, that are related to the aforementioned areas. Over the past few years I have mainly been developing systems in Rust, have been freelancing for the past two years, and want to develop myself professionally by finding new interesting areas and projects to work on, in a senior software engineer role. I studied Cognitive Science and Artificial Intelligence academically and am excited about working on complex systems. For more information about me, please see my website: https://nkconsulting.nl/about/.

I’m a self-taught programmer and jack of all trades. In addition to the many side projects listed on npilk.com, I’m a former management consultant and currently working in innovation + design.

If you are looking for someone with a lot of flexibility to work across engineering, design/innovation, and finance/business teams - please feel free to reach out.

Earlier quoted context omitted.

TCL happens to be my first language. It is a command-based scripting language. Think Lisp, but where most things are also strings. Kinda hacky, but allows for very flexible syntax. https://learnxinyminutes.com/docs/tcl/

This doesn't sound at all like a marketable skill :/

Sort of like Cobol or MUMPS. There are systems which adopted Tcl for some reason 20 years ago and now the whole business depends on it and they will pay whatever it takes to keep it running.
