One I remember was GroupHug or similar name. There were numerous IRC bots at the time that would post stories/confessions from it.

#19I suppose with all the spillover from the web back into real life these days the view limit is needed. Lowbrow stored stories until lowbrow stopped existing.
There's another "anonymous message server" I've been using since the late 90s where you just get whatever the person before you to the site wrote. It is amazingly still going today but I think linking it on HN would kill it.
